We have loaded many common slang terms for electrical industry products
to speed your search. For example, type "pancake box", "battleship"
or any other nickname for a quick search of Junction Boxes and Switch
Box Supports.
Category Search top
Enter the category name (e.g. Ballasts) in the Search and Purchase Products
field. After you click Search, a list of products will display at the
top of the table with one or more categories in which the keywords were
found. If you cannot find your item in the table, click on the appropriate
category to display data unique to that group. You may then filter and
sort based on your needs to narrow the search.
Filter top
Click any of the titles with up/down indicators in the search results
table to display a list of all values in that column. Select one to filter
the list to display items with that attribute only. Multiple filters may
be applied to a list. The column heading will change color to indicate
it has been filtered.
Sort top
Ascending and descending sorts of the table are useful and fast. One sort
may be all you need to find your item. The sort symbol (triangle) will
change color when activated. Selecting one sort will override any previous
sorts.
Item Product Details top
Click the item Details icon to display all item information along with
a graphical representation of the item and your price. From this page
you can add the item to the Shopping Cart or My Catalog, or return to
the previous search results.
Keyword top
By entering keywords, your item may be just one click away. Include any
ratings, specs, slang (see Aliases), part numbers, manufacturer names,
enclosure types, Gexpro part number or UPC number. Please do not use
special characters (such as a slash or dash, an asterisk or punctuation).
Table of Contents top
The Table of Contents displays an expandable, alphabetical listing of
categories. Click a category to display its sub-categories. Click on the
sub-category to view all items in that group. Filter or sort the list
to locate your item.
Searching by Manufacturer top
- If you
know the manufacturer part number, search using a compressed part number
(part number with all special characters deleted - spaces, commas, dashes,
etc). This will eliminate the possibility that the special characters
are placed differently by the manufacturer.
- Searching
by manufacturer and part number separated by a space will yield a smaller
set of items than searching by part number only.
- If you
know the manufacturer but not the part number, go to the "Advanced
Search" tab and select the manufacturer name. The system will then
return only product categories for this manufacturer. Select category
and then attributes to narrow the search.
Search
for Quick Results top
- Always
search by NAED or product code if known. This will yield a quick result
for one particular item.
- When searching
for multiple parts or NAEDs, string them together separated by spaces.
- Refrain
from using partial part numbers. If there is not an exact match on part
number, the system will return all items with any characters in the
part number submitted.
Searching
for Subs top
If you are searching for a sub but only know the part number for the item
being subbed, enter the manufacturer name and part number for the item
being subbed in the search block. Then click on the "Subs" block
in the display to show all substitutes.
